A Sacramento native and 2006 Doctor of Pharmacy Graduate from University of the Pacific, Dr. Ortego hopes to carry on in the tradition of the independent pharmacists who served in the Land Park neighborhood before him.
A 1968 graduate of Idaho State University College of Pharmacy and native Sacramentan, Gary Thomas has been in pharmacy practice for over 40 years. He is a Land Park fixture, treasured by the masses for his wealth of knowledge and experience that he generously shares with all.

A resident of Land Park for over 20 years Lauren is a familiar face to many clients and customers at Parkside Pharmacy. Before the new ownership and remodel Lauren worked at the Land Park Pharmacy for three years. Lauren was born and raised in Napa, California. She attended UC Berkeley studying Marketing and Advertising. She was employed in the media department at Ketchum Advertising in San Francisco before coming to Sacramento to work at Channel 10 (then a CBS affiliate). She is a mother of three and an avid sports fan.
Lauren has an eye for fashion and a nitch for helping find that perfect gift for just about any occasion. You will always find lauren smiling and willing to assist in all of your shopping needs. Lauren is also in the process of becoming a certified skin care specialist at Parkside Pharmacy and Wellness Center. The old Land Park Pharmacy that served the neighborhood for over 53 years has taken on a new incarnation! Same location, same personal service and expert care -- new name, new family ownership, and a fresh new start. The pharmacy builds on the success of what had been a thriving and treasured community pharmacy since its inception in 1955 by original owners Georgia and Ted Econome.
